My Dreams Are Either Telling Me Amazing Things Are Coming or I’m Just Crazy.

So, I’m not much of one to check my daily horoscope or look up what my dreams mean, but recently, I’ve had a handful of dreams that have been pretty freakin’ vivid and have stuck with me. So, I took the really important “things” from each dream and looked them up. It’s pretty interesting.

I Have a Sneaky Feeling

I was re-reading some of my recent posts and noticed they've been a little blue lately. The past couple weeks have been difficult and quite frankly sometimes doesn't feel like it's going to get better. Take Monday for example. I found out my recent car troubles are "urgent" and will cost me close to $1,000. Yikes. Or today when my printer had a hissy fit and decided it just wanted to show off its blinking red light instead of printing my sister's baby shower invitations that should have been sent out a month ago.

Dear Dark Clouds - Shove It!

I kind of can’t believe it’s been almost a whole month since I blogged about trying to be Superwoman and crying over desserts. I can honestly say I’ve made no effort what-so-ever in the past month to be Superwoman, nor have I recently cried over dessert. Although, I DID make a delicious low-fat cake last night – pshhh who needs cupcakes anyway? (Kidding – I need cupcakes … lots of cupcakes…). I digress. =)

I Am (NOT) Superwoman, Hear Me Roar!

Have you ever been to Tijuana Flats for their dessert? My oh my, it is SO GOOD! It's warm cookie dough flautas, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, and chocolate sauce to dip it in. That = a serious dessert and it was much needed last week when I met my lovely sister for a quick chat. We were catching up and shortly after she asked the age old question, "how are you?," I found myself crying over this amazing dessert and really...who cries over dessert?

Offering a Strong Hand to Hold

Holiday’s are ALWAYS a BIG deal in our family. Not just big because it’s a holiday but big because holy crap, we have a HUGE family - minimum of 20 E-V-E-R-Y single time. And anytime you put that many people in one place it’s an ordeal. About 11-12 years ago, my family and I drove up to Indiana to see our family for Thanksgiving. One of the days there, I decided to offer to help slice up some potatoes! My Aunt and Mom gladly accepted my help and I was on my way – cuttin’ up a storm! I got to a point where…well, I’ll save you from the disgusting details, but I basically almost sliced my thumb off. It was bloody, there were tears, and it was a HUGE ordeal. More details than that is definitely not needed. (You're welcome.)

I Left My Heart in San Francisco

In addition to my BIG dream of just simply GOING to California, my other dream (as silly as this may sound) was to ride a bike in California. =) I really didn’t have any specifications about where to ride it, but I had to sing In the Summertime” by Mungo Jerry and just take in my surroundings. We rented bikes at the Bike and Roll and took an adventure! Our “little” adventure was going to be about a 10 mile bike for us but I was really excited – helmet and all.

As we started off near Fisherman’s Wharf, we got to go through all the different parts of San Francisco….up the hills, overlooking the bay, through the marina, down on Chrissy beach, and finally to the Golden Gate Bridge. It felt like ALL week we’d just seen it – from Coit Tower, Alcatraz, the Cable Cars, walking around the piers, and the bay cruise – so, we were most definitely excited that we were going to be ON IT!

Just Let the Wind Carry You

It should be no surprise to anyone that I am an over analyzer. I have to say it is by far the #1 attribute I dislike the most about myself.

I play situations over and over in my head, exploring every possible outcome, until my brain is begging and pleading with me to just stop.

You got what you wanted

I think the last time I heard that saying was in a snarky "na-ne-na-ne-boo-boo" voice from one of my siblings. But last night I was chatting with my roomie/best friend/honorary sister/most amazing person ever -- telling her all my crazy stories of the day, when I realized...

I'm getting what I want.

Um...scary.

GOODBYE, 2009...HELLO, 2010!

I have to say, I am SO HAPPY 2009 is coming to an end. This year has been FULL of ups and downs, tears, laughter, love, friendship, and family, but I am ready to scoot 2009 out the door and wave hello to 2010. As we all know, its prime time to start making those New Year’s resolutions of dieting, working out, quitting smoking, planning to travel, or saving money.

I am the master of justifying anything and everything.

Yep, I said it. Let me explain - I went to Target to buy a Christmas present for one of my friends. I ventured to the clothing section, saw some cheap shirts on sale – convinced myself I could NOT leave without them because I needed some new workout clothes. BAM - $20 later, new clothes and no Christmas present.

Okay, okay…this could also be known as a little disease called I AM ADDICTED TO SHOPPING.

Sooooo, for that purpose, I’m going to give you another example. :)
